Zheng Chongbin's latest video, Branches are Roots in the Sky (2016), will be on view at The Pacific Project: Zheng Chongbin the Orange County Museum of Art, August 6 - December 4, 2016. Titled after a line by Rabindranath Tagore and inspired by a tree trump in a northern Californian forest near the artist's residence, the video "explores how we construct our knowledge of the world, its flows, and its changes through our perceptions of time, space, and surface." The video will be accompanied by four ink paintings by Zheng and the video of Chimeric Landscape (2015), the environmental video installation that was shown at the European Cultural Centre, Venice and at the solo exhibition "Wall of Skies" at INK studio last year.
On August 7, the artist will give a talk at the museum.
