Beijing Dangdai 2024: Bingyi, Kang Chunhui, Lao Tongli

INKstudio is proud to participate in Beijing Dangdai from May 23 to 26, 2024. Located at booth C5, INKstudio will present works by three contemporary Chinese artists who express their dynamic artistic concepts through the exploration of ink in different medium and formats. Highlights include the Beijing-born artist, Bingyi's neo-classicalism, monumental ink-monochrome landscapes, as well as the latest series--a trove of painting and texts, Dream within a Dream within a Dream, and woodcut prints of Landscape Fairies; the Guangdong jiaocai-gongbi artist, Lao Tongli's intensely polychrome painting, Horizon · Positive Negative Zero Zero No.4, in which he renders life experience using nature-based metaphors through gongbi brushwork. The Urumqi-born artist Kang Chunhui's signature Sumeru series, in which she continues her alchemical exploration of mineral and organic pigments through the form and metaphysical theme of the fold, along with the exquisite Morning Clouds series of album leaves.
